Brain Imagery

The image of the brain captured my attention many years ago when I came across a drawing in an anatomy book and thought it particularly intriguing. At once readily recognizable, I found that this iconic image could serve as a depiction of an idea, of a person, of a location, or a specific set of behaviors. While I have mostly used the brain motif in paintings or drawings, it has also been used in my tapestries.
