Current

The current work is a series of tapestries based on drawings from a painting project I began several years ago. These drawings are created in an improvised manner like automatic writing or psychography, is to text. Music plays a significant role of inspiration as it evokes memories, connections, and experiences that direct the drawing process. The series consists of five tapestries, four of which are completed, each depicting different phases in my life. They mark a return to the vibrant colors I used in much of my early tapestry work. Precise color matching is essential which is why I dye most of the yarn myself.
